Model Shoot: Becky
So today I shot my first model – Becky! Was not bad at all for my first model shoot – and it’s really given me the motivation to do a whole lot more. I think I got a couple of pretty powerful shots and the first two here rocked! Thank you lensbaby. Anyway, not much to say about them as I’m all for aesthetics at the moment with very little theory. But I’m eager as pie to start getting the theory down, hopefully to engage more with the work and produce something with depth.

Manchester with Olivia
What an astonishingly busy couple of weeks! Seen too many faces to count and worked too many hours to remember. Had a real nice week this week dedicated to myself I think – and pursuing University in the right mindset. I’ve been in the library already for a good few hours getting a head start on a few projects we’ve been set whilst trying to build up and manage my own! More on that later though. For now, some pictures from a little afternoon trip to Magma/Pop Cafe with Olivia.

Pop Café – which I had absolutely no idea was a veggie cafe. I ended up having beans on toast – with way too much butter.

Olivia had some chilli and rice. Looked nice, lacked meat.

So, so totally wish that t-shirt wasn’t advertising alcohol.

So it was a short trip, but I managed to get a couple magazines for inspiration for my first model shoot! Woo. I’ll be photographing a gorgeous girl called Becky before she disappears off to Cambridge.

I’m still waiting for Wig. Magazine to be released. It’s such a gorgeous magazine and it’s only out twice a year – around June and September time, so hurry up already! Issue 6 looks amazing.
Peace

The end of Summer ‘09
So I’m back to Blackpool for another round – after the summer I’ve had I think I’m glad of it, to be honest. It’s been one of the toughest summers I think I’ve had and one of the largest learning curves I’ve ever experienced. There hasn’t been a week where emotions have been stable enough for me to keep clarity and perspective. It’s unbelievable to have had the most enthralling and exciting experiences of my life be contrasted with the most upsetting and draining. But life throws these things at you, more often than not at the most inopportune times – I think it’s how you deal with these issues that consequently moulds you into who you are and who you’ll be years down the line.

These lovely ladies all really enjoy there bingo – good, because they won £14,000 the other week. Yes, I notice I caught Mr. Boredom in the left.

S. African John.

I’ve been really enjoying Green Tea lately. My first experience was pretty disgusting, but as with anything I think you just have to acquire a taste over time. Now it’s all I’ll order if I can. It’s really helped with headaches and stress, most likely a placebo but y’know, if it works – it works. I’m not going to start questioning the science behind it. I’m sure the Antioxidants have something to do with it though.
I’ll be posting more often soon, I’ve felt like I’ve neglected myself with the lack of photos lately. Motivation has been sparse at best though, bah!
Also, if you donated for a print – please choose one and let me know! People are getting impatient now. Thanks!
